2 Sylvania Lightbulbs 40W - No other numbers that I could find about 4 - 5" long, screw in type bulb

Ok what do I keep and what do I toss. The stuff I keep, usage?

Thanks

All I know for sure is:

Toss the Algae destroyer. Chems cause more damage than they fix usually. An algae outbreak is usually caused by an imbalance in lighting and nutrients. Fix the cause, not the symptom.

I would toss the lighbulbs too. Sylvania bulbs do not comply to the standard color temperatures. So for instance a bulb that Sylvania makes that says "Daylight" is really only in the 3500K range, as opposed to a GE bulb that says "Daylight" and really IS in the 6500K range.
Although if you dont have any really plants it probably doesnt matter. But if you do have plants, ditch the sylvanias

toss the meds and stuff, its all junk. Light bulbs are probably 10w-13w. Might be useable if you have to correct color spectrum.

Oh and that junk about sylvania bulbs..... FALSE. I use sylvania, and they ARE daylight, don't believe me? look at my tank thank you very much (it is tea colored due to tannins though).

Just where did you hear that though?

Every package of Sylvania daylight bulbs that I have seen has a little qualifier that says "Sylvania bulbs do not comply with CCI(i think) standards, actual kelvin rating is 3500k"

Wiki mentions it to:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compact_fluorescent_lamp

Please note, I am not saying that Sylvania is inferior, or that they dont make a 6500k bulb, I am saying that the ones they label "Daylight" are not, in fact, the correct bulbs.
I as well as a few of my friends with tanks have made the mistake of buying sylvania's "Daylight" bulbs for our tanks, and ended up having to buy twice.

i would toss the algae stuff and check the expiration dates on the meds. ANything that is not expired, put away just in case, it was free.

I agree with msjinkzd! I'm not sure about the bulbs though, since I don't grow anything other than low light plants like java fern.
