Blood Parrot's Compatibility with Other Cichlids

Im setting my 55 gallon freshwater tank back up and need some advice about what the water parameter's are for Blood Parrot's. Also what some awesome compatible tank-mates could go along with them??? The tank I set-up is 2 days old so it would be awhile before i get fish into it! But im just trying to plan ahead! Thanks!

I had fire mouths in with mine, and I had a green sevrum. all was well unti the sevrum got big, then he was not friendly with the blood parrot. the fire mouths got along fine, ion fact if you can believe it the male parrot and one female fire mouth breed like mad. I mean every time I did a water change there were eggs, to bad they never hatched. :( he was sterile :lol: An angel also got along in that tank.

Blood parrots should go in a 75 as they get quite large. 3 in a 75 pretty well fills it.I have seen them kept with Flowerhorns.

ok thanks for the replies, i guess i will research a little bit more to find out exactly what I want out of my new tank!
