I'm new at this, please bear with me...

I am a huge Disney freak. I would really like to theme my tank Disney-style. However, nobody makes Mickey or Minnie aquarium decorations. (This may sound a little dumb) Would putting in plastic toys do any harm to the fish? It's all I can think of to do. I mean, if these plastic toys are safe for kids, especially because kids are prone to putting toys in their mouths, would they be safe for fish as well? If not, I'll just keep it simple... I was just wondering...

Candi... What type of fish are you planning on keeping and how big is the tank you wish to decorate? I'm not sure if the plastic toys you wish to place in the tank would be harmful or not. You're right about them being kid safe however over periods of them being submerged the paint my dissolve into the water. I'm not sure though... Wish I could offer more insight...

My tank is 55 gallons but I have decided against placing plastic toys in the tank. I have been unable to find any conclusive information; therefore, am not going to risk it. Thanks for the help though!
