View Full Version : Maxijet 1200 getting 1600 GPH? Is this a joke!?

The kit claims to upgrade the MJ1200 to output 1600 GPH (NOT liters--- gallons!). Something seems amiss here. How do you go from under 300 to 1600 just by swapping out the impeller? Does this kit actually work?

Yes it works and has been around for a very long time now, theirs plenty of articles on it on google or youtube :)

There is also a mod to increase the gph, not sure what the resulting gph is, but it just intales drilling a few holes. There is a post on youtube from some guy that has a lot of good DIY videos.

The mod listed by mako turns the MJ into more of a koralia-style powerhead (think boat propeller vs centrifugal pump/turbo style).

They even have the props that can take you up to 2000+ GPH for the MJ1200.

Would one of those work in a wore out Chevy Cavalier? Our lil beater could really use something to jazz it up!
