My Python came yesterday and today I went to use it. Well, low and behold it wouldn't fit onto my faucet in the basement. After some exploring, it turns out my Dad connected a standard garden hose fitting onto the faucet...meaning the the faucet is designed to have a standard garden hose hooked up to it. The thing is like soldered on so getting it off isn't a possibility.

I have 2 options I think....

1) Connect a small length of garden hose to the end of the python semi-permanetly. Connect this garden hose to the sink.

2) Connect the pump directly to the sink without the adapter as per the manual. My concern is stripping the threading on the pump. Of course, at $5 a piece on Big Al's I probably shouldn't be too concerned about this.

Any other suggestions? :)

Quit getting ripped off by buying manufacture branded parts. Got to your local hardware store and get it for less! Or else go to a bedding store and get a whole waterbed kit which includes all adapters for less than $10. I did that and bought a drinking safe water hose, connectors, etc for less than $20. I already had a gravel vac so connecting everything up into a "Python" type device was a snap. It just doesn't have a brand name on it and looks and acts just like a "Python"
