I have two tanks with africans in them. One tank is 100 gal and has acei's, peacocks, yellow labs, and blue ahli's. The other is more aggresive with auratus, johanni, cocolofi, a frontosa, and a couple of other fish , that tank is 110 gal. The lfs told me that keneyi's are really aggressive and I could put them in the more aggressive tank. I bought a pair yesterday that were close in size to the others and put them in the 110 gal. Today I couldn't find them when I turned on the lights this morning. I hope they are just hiding, they were so pretty. I have so much rockwork, it is hard to tell where they could be. Do you think I put them in the right tank? Or should I have put them in the other tank?

i think you put them in the right tank and they may be just hiding really good i would give it a few more days and if they are still alive and are being punked you could try to rearrange the rock work to disturb the territory..

They're likely just settling in to the tank. Leaving aside the frontosa, the stocking in there should not be problematic for them.

As a general guide, it is better and more likely to be successful to add groups of mbuna as opposed to singles/pairs. Equally, the kenyi would ideally be stocked in a ratio of 1 male to 3 females. You might look at introducing a couple more to achieve this.

they are settling in and within a week they will be all over your tank. i have them and they are agressive but pretty fish.
