Brown Algae on Plants.....Leaves turning pale

I have recently planted my 55gallon tank and I am having issues with my plants out competing algae in my tank. I currently dose Flourish once a week and use Flourish root tabs for my crypts and sword.

My anubias and java fern both look ok but the tips of some of the anubias are turning yellow and the crypts and sword seem to be shriveling up. I have 120 watts over my tank and I use a 6 hour on, 2 hours off, 6 hour on, 10 hours off cycle. Any suggestions?
 
Your missing 2 key things, what do you use as a Carbon source, and do you dose macro nutrients? Also how soft is your water btw?
 
Ammonia: 0
Nitrites: 0
Nitrates: >5ppm

I know I have hard water and right now all I use is the root tabs and Flourish liquid. What is an easy Carbon source and what would cover my macro nutrients?

I was just reading up and some of the low light plant sights mention that if given too much light the anubias will develop algae on their leaves. This sounds exactly like what is happening to all my plants. Could it be the duration or wattage of the lighting?
 
anubias and crypts are typically low light plants.

they flourish in lo light environements and really do not need ferts.

I moved mine in the tank to shaded areas to help with yellowing eventually they adapted to higher light. the leaves are light gren on plants in higher lighted sections of the tank.
as far as algae..yes you may try reducing the photo period to 8 hrs and see what happens.
