As the title states...I don't know how to clean out my xp3 :headshake2:. When I try to take the intake tube off, water comes spurting out and I have to shove it back on. How should I clean it and how often? The tank is in the sig. :help:

theres a little lever you pull up which blocks the water flow then the intake and exhaust tubes come off at the same time connected the the manifold or w/e it's called (obviously the filter is unplugged before that is done) Then you can take the cannister out take it apart rinse in old water, and do everything in reverse to set it back up. Can't really say how often you should tho

Rena gives you a manual, it's listed in there, they even provide you with a sticker that shows the maintenance steps. Did you buy yours used?

if mine gets clogged up with a lot of debris, there is often some back pressure that causes a little bit of water to spurt out of the top when i close the valve and lift the tubes off. if that's your problem, either clean it more often to avoid the build-up or just lift the tubes off as slowly as you can so the pressure can be released without any splash.

it happens but it shouldnt be much...... just make sure to wash it in old tank water.
