Someone gave me a 1g tank. I set it up, added some plants....but now what can I add? I know practically all fish are out. Is there a tiny shrimp or snail or perhaps 2 male endlers or something equally as tiny that could grow in there? I'm not picky on my organisms I think everything is fascinating. Heck, I raised Daphnia for a NOAA lab and loved it (and would do that if I had a constant source of algae to feed them).

People have put a betta splendens in those one gallon tanks. I suppose you could try that route as long as you do water changes weekly. You couly also put a few neocaridina shrimp in there (cherry, yellow, snowball, etc.). A stocking rule for neo sp. shrimp is 10 adults for every one gallon. I wouldn't put ten in there at first b/c they'll most likely reproduce quickly and you'll end up with more than 10 with all the shrimplets. I would go with shrimp myself. They'd be the coolest to watch and the easiest to take care of. I don't know how well 2 male endlers would get along being stuck in a one gallon. I also wouldn't put a m/f endler pair in there b/c the female would get chased relentlessly and would have nowhere to escape to in such a small space.

Agreed, shrimp are your best choice. Maybe a trio of heterandria formosa if you really want fish.

Thanks to everyone who responded! I wanted 3 Cherry Shrimp, and most of you think that they would be the best plan, so I am quite pleased. Thanks for all your help.
