I picked these corys up from the LFS, where of course they were not labeled at all (even though they had about 20 of them). I'm fairly certain they are corydoras trilineatus (false juliis), but I want some confirmation. They are my first corys, and I love them! Sorry for the crappy pic quality, they don't like to be still for photographs.

according to my book on fish they appear to be Corydoras Trilineatus their common name is the Three-lined cory.

They are so cute. I lost one of mine last week. :( I really think that he might have been injured by the guy that got him out of the tank and just took a while to die. All the others are great. You definately need more they are so fun.

Yeah I got only 3, in part because my boyfriend wants to eventually have 2 types of cories (trying to convince him it's better to have more of a single species, but....) and also because this is my first time actually buying from my LFS and I want to check out the health of the fish before I give them more of my money.

In the past, their tanks were disgusting and I wouldn't buy from them. Recently, they seem to have really cleaned up their act, and while they aren't the best place ever, their tanks seem clean, most of the fish look quite healthy, and I have only seen one dead fish and one fish with ich in my last several visits there, which is a large improvement from when there would be several dead fish in every tank.

So far, so good with the corys though - they have been active, eating and looking great since they've been in my tank.

Yea, I'd say trilineatus also.

Have fun with your new cories! But beware - they're very addictive lol!
