I have Zebra (5) and Blue Longfin (6) Danios that have recently moved into a cycled 30g tank. They seem to spend most mornings racing around the bottom of the tank and then the rest of the day in the upper level. All eleven cavort together and it is great to watch! There are two male Zebras, the biggest of the group, who spend most of their time chasing each other and a Blue Longfin (maybe a female, but can't be sure). They will even "wrestle" on the gravel. At first I thought it could be Ick, but they all look good. Is this a dominance thing, courting or just kids having fun? Is it possible for the two groups to breed?

FYI.. when you go to post, if you don't try to modify the colour of the text, it will post as "default color" which will show up as normal on everyone's skin. ;)

They are danios, that is what they do! I have 200 fry in a 10g right now (I didn't intend for them to breed it just kinda happened) and they chase each other around all day. You will have some that are more dominant than others but that is normal. Have fun watching them.

Zebra Danios are hyperactive fish.
They are like a Jack Russell dog, they go 100mph 24 hours a day and never stop. They are entertaining fish.
