Okay, so I have a 10g, filtered, heated, and already semi planted tank containing 3 otos, some snails, some ghost shrimp, and 2 dwarf puffers. I have no idea the types of plants in there (I know I have one sword and I think a crpt of some sort but Im not suire). I recived some stems from a friend, no roots or anything and she said I could in fact plant them. Oh, and my LFS recommended using a liquid carbon to make them grow better too, so Im going to pick it up tomorrow.

It didnt work.

Sooooo....now Im taking everything out, buying a new set of plants, and re-scaping everything.

Can you guy please, please make some suggestions on plants? Id love something that grows fast and provides LOTS of lush green-ness for ZoomZoom and Pig. :] And I dont want anything super exotic either.

Yes, what's the wpg on the tank? Many stem plants require med-high light, so if you're using stock lighting they probably won't do to well. If you want LOTS of lush, you'll need good lighting, carbon supplementation (either though liquid such as excel or co2 injection) and a fertilization routine (these 3 things make ALL the difference).

IMO keeping Dwarf Puffers in a community tank is a bad idea. They will typically harrass/eat the other inhabitants (especially the snails and shrimp as those are main food sources for them).

I'm going to be purchasing 2 6700z (i think thats what they're called...) and sticking those in there.

Oh, and the shrimp have been fine. :] In any case, they do get eaten, but thats kind of why I put them in. The snails are rather large.
