I am starting a 10g SW tank

I plan to have
1 clown
various shrimp, etc
and polyp and mushroom corals

will a 36w 7100K actinite/10,000K daylight bulb be ok for this tank to survive?

That should be fine for simple soft corals like polyps and mushrooms. It won't be adequate for stony corals, so don't let the salesperson try to talk you into any corals that you can't reasonably keep alive.
