Ok so i was feeding this morning.(I wasn't able to get on to post had to go to school) and i always watch them eat so i can get out any extra food they don't eat and to make sure everyone is doing ok. So i was watching my big fat preg white one. and she had just ate then was swimming around and it almost looked like she spit up white stuff from her mouth? is this normal? Does it have something to do with her being preg? Does it mean i'm seriously over feeding her? this is the first i saw of it and otherwise she is doing great. that just seemed really odd to me? Any ideas The other 5 are doing fine, she is the only one with this odd thing....

is it a cottony substance around her mouth it could be cottonmouth research and look at the pics

nope, she just like spit white stuff, i looked it up and its not the same...

could be a sign of internal parasites

If it is right after she ate it could just be food that she is holding in her mouth and decided not to eat and spat it out. My sunset platys are constantly spitting and re-eating their food.

my platties eat waste from other fish as it drops then spits it out
keep an eye on her and see if its common otherwise don't worry too much if it was a once off thing
