its the navigation setup for auto-x... downed cones point in the direction you're supposed to be going on the course. :)

so what about the ones pointing up?

is that a diesel?
so no helmet or seatbelt in necessary?

standing up are general course border cones....

it is a diesel.. (hence the smoke)

i wear a normal seatbelt.. helmet was not required for THIS event due to it being a small amateur event.. normal SCCA events do require a DOT approved helmet.

What did you win?
The race, or the champoinship?

So what do you do when there's snow, and you're not on the chat?

Cool. I helped out at a local So. Cal autocross practice @ El Toro ex-MCAS last year with the Formula SAE team at my school. Had a blast riding in some of those people's cars. I want to modify my car for autocrossing. Just a suspension upgrade away.

I took first in my class (compact car), and second best track time overall... best time was 35.21, my best time was 35.31.... LOL.

nah, i just need to do another suspension upgrade.. the Koni FSD struts are great for normal track racing, but for low speed tight cornering like that in auto-x, a coilover system will do me a lot better.

thanks guys! :)

btw.... it doesnt snow here like it does in CT, so if its not snowing, we race! if there's ice.. we show em how to "drift" a front wheel drive...

for those of you interested in the official autocross stuff... here is the link for the SCCA car classifications... my car falls under the Street Modified category, and will (in the next year) fall under the Prepared category. :)

Nice pics.... I'd love to do some autox myself.... my car isn't ready, yet. There are a good amount of events here in SE Michigan, maybe next summer.
