I have used Joe's Juice successfully for aptasia!

I successfully use kalk paste to control aiptasia. In a tank as small as a 15g, it would be wise to be sure to not go crazy with it, as the kalk will effect the water chemistry.

Peppermint shrimp can be good for controlling aiptasia, but whether or not they eat them is hit and miss. And, they tend to not do anything to larger aiptasia. Two peppermints in a 15g should be plenty.

Generally, a pH of 8.3 - 8.6 suits the vast majority of marine critters.

some people use Berghia nudibranchs

I agree, in that size tank a Berghia nudi would be your best bet to rid the tank of the pest. I would suggest a butterfly fish if your tank was bigger, but that size is definately not suitable for a butterfly, even short term.

Eh, I've had problems with aiptasia for a few years and I have had no luck with any chemicals or peppermint shrimp. The only thing I have found to completely get rid of any size aiptasia was a juvi Klein's butterfly and within a week they were all wiped out. I haven't tried the berghia before but I was planning to use them before I used the butterfly. I think the berghia are the best thing for your size tank

Man! Those are cool! I could not find what happens to them when the aptasia is gone - do they die? I might find some aptasia just so I can get some of those!

yea they will starve if there isnt aptastia I think. So people trade em forward usually when there done.

I was searching craigslist in my area and found this.

"i will either buy your live rock with aiptasia all over it for about 2.99 a pound or i will harbor your live rock and rid it from its infestation for you for a negotiable price."
