im about to get a single tube light and fitting for my 110l tank.

i dont have anything in it at the mo, however i plan to have it somewhat planted, not to a great level, however id like to get a few (bit of a gardener).

Would one T5 be the best bet (ive heard that a T5 tube is the way to go for plants)?

I have a 600mm gap between holes in my hood if that makes any difference.

Cheers in adv.

I am not certain of the conversions from metric. If your tank is a 20 gallon long (30 inches long) this fixture is good: http://http://www.thatpetplace.com/pet/prod/209809/product.web

It is just a normal output T5 fixture so you want double bulbs instead of just one. It is only about seven centimeters wide or so. It would work well for low light plants. Plenty of other options out there of course.
