I currently have a 45G planted tank for about 4 month now. Starting was fine, I had 6 oto in it and 4 amano shrimp to make sure algae in check. But recently there was a great bloom in algae. Dark green spots on anubias leaves. And quite a lot of black colour algae on the other plants. I suspected is red algae. I currently using 2 soda bottles of diy CO2. Every week add 20ml of Tetra Floria pride. I'm still a sudent, so don't have the money to afford for a pressurized co2 unit. So I wish you gus can help me before the whole tank go wrong.

What lighting do you have, and what other plants are in the tank? If you do not have fast growing plants, then you are overdosing with the ferts and CO2. Anubias do very well in low light tanks with no CO2, and tend to be slow growing under the best of conditions. I would reduce ferts and CO2, unless you have lighting of more than about 3 watts per gallon, or add some fast growing plants.
