Betta's Pectoral Fin is Ripped

Just went to feed "BlueStar", and noticed that one of his pectoral fins is ripped. In fact, the piece is hanging off. It's right in the middle of the fin.

I think I know the culprit.........One of the plants.......That will be removed today............

Anything special to do or look out for? About how long does it take to heal a fin? He's swimming a little funny...:(

The fin should heal within 4-5 days. Make sure the water quality is kept up, and that any tankmates leave him alone (though it sounds like he may be by himself--much safer!). If the fin does not begin to heal, examine the fin for signs of infection.
