Is this a knock off of the AquaC EV skimmers or are they doing something new?

I have no idea what type of system Kent is using to inject air into the skimmer. The website says the unit uses a "Quadra-Helical injection" system but it does not explain what this means in laymans terms.

My LFS actually has these new skimmers in, but when I asked about their inner workings, my replies were blank stares. They had no clue, nor does anyone else I've talked to, what the "quadra-helical injection" is. The best they could muster wa something about an improved venturi, but I honestly think they were making that up.

No they arent Aqua C rip-offs. They look like a simple venturi like a euro-reef skimmer.
BTW, Aqua C's skimmer designs are patented.
