hello,

I have a bunch of angelfish that I am going to sell in about a week, a I wanted to know what is the average price are for baby angelfish.

I have pea, dime, nickel, and quarter plus sizes.

Strains are koi, smokey leopard, gold, silver, black lace, panda, dark marble, and blusher.

I am going to sale 25 assorted angels per box all sizes with different strains. ( i have alot of nickel, and quarter size) How much should i charge per box of angelfish?

I normally sell them sep. for 4.25 each for the quarter plus, 4.00 for the nickel, 3.75 for the dime, a 3.50 for the pea size.

Is $85 a box a good price for 25 angelfish?

Please feedback is welcome!! thanks

Let me know how much you think I should sell each box for?

Yeah it sounds like a great price, I'm just not sure how many people would want to buy 25 angels at once.

You might be able to sell bulk to your LFS

You are very right about many people may not want that many. I will let people purchase them in smaller up to larger amounts.

( still assorted strains and sizes!!)

5 angelfish a box

10 angelfish a box

15 angelfish a box

20 angelfish a box

25 angelfish a box.

Shipping for 5-15 angelfish is only 9.80, and 20-25 will be only 13. These are the flat rate prices.

I hope a fish hatchery or a business will want to buy all of them from me!! Thanks for your comments.

About the LFS here, I have tried many different fish stores but they will not take them because they said it is against their policy, and that they do not give store credit!!

I don't know where you are from, but shops are not going to buy at those prices. Around Chicago, meaning Indiana & Wisconsin, you will see $1 to $1.50 for dimes & nickels, maybe $2 for quarters. No shop I know of buys peas.

You can buy them cheaper at auctions, shops as well as individuals do. Many folks will make a little money at auctions buying fish cheap, selling for a small profit to shops. I've seen plenty of bags with three dime to nickel size angels go for $2.

Will you post pics of them?

yes, post pics,
BTW, some color strains will bring more than others.. common colors like marble not so much.
I find that F1 wild strains (Scalare) will generally net you more..

if anyone ever got the Altum breeding down they would do quite well ;)
