Fairly new to the hobby, so I thought I'd post some pics. Made a lot of mistakes at first, but it's been running strong for a while now:
5 tiger barbs
4 green barbs
3 zebra loaches
1 pleco

Congrats and welcome to AC :D Great looking tank and specimens. Just FYI, those great looking uprights plants in the center of your tank are sadly not fully aquatic. They are Variegated Japanese Dwarf Rush (Acorus variegatus). Eventually, they will rot if not allowed to emerge from the tank. Keep a very clsoe eye on them for signs of rot and be prepared to move them if they show even the slightest sign on wilting, rot, etc.

Edit: On closer inspection I think you only have the one rush in front and 2 specimens of crinum (aka water onion) in the back. These are great picks and are truly aquatic.

ah thanks very much for that update. I put the 2 if the Dwarf Rush in soon after starting the tank. That would explain why the first one didn't make it
