Hi,

I am thinking about a 55 gallon planted aquarium and am trying to decide between either a fixture with 2x54 W T-5 bulbs or a 2x65 W set of lights with PC bulbs. So which is "better", T-5 or PC?

Now before any of you asks the obvious question about what plants I'm trying to keep, I don't know yet. Preferably easy plants. I know this is kind of backwards, but that's my plan. Once I get the lights, I'll get some plants to adapt. This is my first planted tank, so I plan on getting stuff that's easy to keep. I have some java moss and some sag. subdulata which is doing OK and well respectively with 1x40 W florescent lighting, but I think I want to upgrade in the hopes of being able to keep a little bit more.

So please give me a few thoughts.

nate
