ok so i just hooked up a diy co2 to my 20 gallon. my question is for diffusion do i run the tube leaving the one way valve into the the tank then into the tube which sucks in the water into the filter ( whisper hang on 60 g) . or can i just open the top of the filter and run the tube on the inside of the filter right aginst the impeller.:bowing:

I would just put it through the intake, after all, the chopping action of the impeller is what makes the bubbles small and better to diffuse.

^agreed. Directly into the intake so that the CO2 bubble will definitely make contact with the impeller.

With HOB filters, its usally best to diffuse into their output, since they outgas CO2 really well.
