has any one here ever fixed a leaking tank? if u did wat did u use?

no i would just buy a new one, but just to let everyone to know that infant340 is my cousin, so he's fixing it instead of buying a new one because he doesn't have any money

make sure you use the right kind of silicone.........

kitchen and bath stuff has a fungicide? or other additives to prevent mold....... it will kill your fish.

you need pure silicone or aquarium silicone. read the lables, alot of the bad ones will say "not for aquarium use" right on them.

Yes, depending on your finances and the tank size in question sometimes it's not worth it to fix a tank. For anything 40 gallons or larger I would certainly try and salvage it. But if only a 10 gallon, for the peace of mind I'd get not having to second guess my repair work, and for the time saved not having to repair it, I'd probably just get a new one. The cost of a cheap 10 gallon is not that much more than a good sealant if you don't already own some.
