View Full Version : Vals turning red?
It appears that some of my vals' leaves are turning a brilliant red color.
Does this mean that there is a deficiency of some sort?

Vals turning red is something I've never heard of......or, is it kind of a pinkish down at the base, close to the crown? I've had that happen. Where the plant normally would be a little white before growing out green, it instead is pink. In my situation, it was more high light than anything. I moved the vals to a more shaded area and the pink went away.

I think your right Riiz, I think I've heard of it before, turned out to be lacking a paticular fert, I can't remember what that one is though.
Vals turn red under bright light when they are happy.

They are under pretty bright light, and they are turn red at their tips, as well as a fainter reddish hue at their base of the leaves.
It's not an offensive color at all, just different!
