im not sure but i installed a diy c02 last night and i feel like its already made a greener diff in my plants. can that happen over night or am i full of it.:lipssealedsmilie:

Its possible. I've got some plants that grow anywhere from an inch to 3 inches in a day. Also, plants tend to grow a lot at night when the lights are out so, it could happen.

Heh, when I had vals in my tank, with CO2 going they would grow 2" a day, it was unreal.

wow! That is crazy. Need to get a bigger diy bottle and a nice diffuser...... What did you guys use for the 2 inch growth? What kind of co2 setup I mean.

This is interesting.
Pressurized and very consistent DIY can spur that kind of daily growth.

I'm using pressurized co2 at 2-3 bubbles per second.

Another idea for tracking growth, is to mark a line on the side of the aquarium with a grease pencil or china marker. Takes out the guess work and is easier (for me atleast) than taking accurate photos, and the pencil will wipe off with a paper towel.
