I'm building a tank and was wondering if "Jay Cee" silicone is safe for the aquarium. It doesnt say any thing on the back other than what you can use it for. It says you can use it on glass but i don't know....

make sure that its a 100% silicone, you don't want any additives in it. some silicone has mold and mildew inhibitors blended in, which is toxic to fish. Just get the pure stuff.

ok.
also, if it is toxic to the fish, will the toxic stuff go away after a while?

i wouldn't risk it.
Also, you need to make sure that the silicone is dry before you add water and fish. Silcone thats not cured will also be harmful to the fishies.
peace out,
