Could they be eaten?

I've had a few comments that my big super veil tail angel could have my 5 rasboras for lunch! Is this possible? Here are some pics: The second pic is the pic of the angelfish and a rasbora (the rasbora is around 7 inches closer to the camera than the angelfish). The first pic is of the full tank (30G) as a matter of size comparison (for the angelfish). Thanks for your help!

my Angels haven't messed with my rasboras in the 2 years they have been in the tank together.... however, I wouldn't say it wasn't a possibility.... how many rasboras are in the tank... is that a 55 gallon?

highly unlikely.. by the time the angel gets big, the rasboras will be huge as well and wont fit into the angels mouth.. smaller fish like neon tetras are at risk..
But this one is the big angel in the picture. He is like 3 1/2 - 4 inches (the body's size) and the rasboras are just 1 - 1 1/2 inches. Are they big enough to fit in his mouth right now?

is it possible? Yes, Angels will try to eat anything they 'think' they can fit in their mouths.

A while back I posted a picture of a young angel that tried to eat an oto.

usually full size rasboras are safe. but angels will hide among tall plants as driftwood and Ambush other fish.

nearly all my angels are now adults.

I discovered mine will eat otos and neons but leave black neons alone.

Your rasboras are too broad to fit the angel's mouth. I had no issues with the mix when I did this before. I'd say unlikely.

i keep my angels and neons together. i would say its successful, but my small neon population has dwindled over the past 6 months. just last week my 3 biggest were fighting over a ghost shrimp twice the size of my biggest neon. no way the shrimp would fit in its mouth but they still grabbed it and ran away from the rest till it was torn into bite size pieces
