Here is my new deck pond, upgraded from rubbermaid trough. Turned out fantastic and my fish are in heaven.

Thank you, our contractor friend built it for me. I was worried about top rail having chemicals if we used pressure treated so he came up with using Trex on the outside. Its insulated between the liner and wood frame. Here is a pic of what I had before.

That trex is awesome stuff, our whole deck is made out of it. Pond looks amazing as well.

Pond looks great. It always amazes me when people successfully keep fish in the rubbermaid troughs. My sister works for rubbermaid and says that the troughs should not be used for fish as they do have chemicals in them that can leech into the water and kill the fish. I am starting to wonder if rubbermaid knows what they are talking about though as I have seen MANY people use them for this:)

I'm surprised about chem. in rubbermaid tub?? I have had one for 4yrs and all fish except 6 (babies) have been there since day one

wooden frame with insulation and pond liner. I'm in Maryland and I put a submersible heater for 60 gal. at each end and my temp is staying between 56 and 60.

Beautiful photos. I also never thought about putting one on a deck. I don't think I should show my next door neighbor these pics. He might want to add one to his deck
