I followed the instructions in the manual, which it say fill the dome with some tank water then add the chemical to for the changing of the colors. Did I do this wrong or right. Also it started out blue, then turned to green over the weekend, then this morning it was slightly yellow, which mean too much co2, I have the needle valve set at about 60 bubbles per min. I need some help with the settings. The CO2 runs all day while the light is on, then at night it is turned off and the bio wheel is turned on to add some surface movement. I just need some feed back and help. :1zhelp:

you are fine with the rest of the setup. Though the biowheel isnt really necessary, if anything it will cause a co2 gas off and therefore will give you a ph swing. I shut off my co2 with the lights, dont run any airstones and my fish are fine the next morning.
1bps is a good place to start.. now use that with the drop checker and see if thats enough

Thanks I will adjust this when I get home tonight. Then I will the biowheel off until I get things balanced. Or I just might take it off the tank and add a second canister.

Like BK828 said you must get 4dkh solution to add to dropper or your wasting your time. You can make it but it's a headache and has to be done right.I bought a container online. Google it and maybe you can see where to get it.

When I put the solution which I thought was 4dKH and add the drops to the water before putting it in the tank the water went straight to bright yellow. and was still yellow after over night sitting in the tank, I dont think everything is right.

right cuz the water to which you added the reagent was already acidic and had its own buffer capacity
