Finally got around to taking a full picture of my new tank.

It's still very much a work in progress. I am still looking for a really nice pice of drift word to go in there to replace to two Egyptian ruins.

Also trying to figure out a way to hide the heaters, and air and filter pipes. Any ideas?

good looking!

maybe with a background you can hide the filters.

Yeah I'm going to put up a black back ground when I find the right one.

But I was mainly referring to the filter and air pipes inside the tank.

where's all the algea??
HA!

Looks like a good start!

I would put the heaters horizontally towards the bottom of the tank though.

Nice start.
If you used hydor external heaters you wouldn't need to hide them. I use fake plants and big bits of drift wood in my cichlid tank to hide filter pipes.

Looks good. This is the best time because you have a blank

canvas. When it's full of plants all your plumbing will disappear.

Don't worry about it. Make a plant list and go.

i put the heaters lower down and horizontal (like if you put the one on the left lower down, that driftwood would hide it pretty well- then put some java fern or other plants on the driftwood. the black background will help a lot. nice tank! those oscars look happy :)

A dark background would help hid the filter spray bars and in my tanks I use plants to hide the filter intake.

I didn't know you could fully submerge the heaters. I thought the adjustment lever had to be out of the water.. Thanks for that tip guys :)

WARNING: SOME ARE NOT SUBMERSIBLE!!!!!

I however, i think I have the same one as you and if so, then it is submersible.

Yeah best to make sure before I fry myself and my fish..

I have 2 Marineland Visi-Theme 250W heaters.. It says "submersible" on the box, so I guess that's a good sign :)
