Chemical Additives?

There are as many chemical additives on the market as krill in the ocean. Can someone provide a quick list of what we really need to use to maintain water quality for a reef?

LFS says B-Ionic is all I need but I know better than to not ask...

Give us more details. What sort of corals? Soft? Hard? Also, other inverts in the tank also? Different corals and inverts needs different chemical to thrive.

Soft & hard corals. Various inverts. Maybe even a clam. Right now, the box is empty...
