Are black moores and mystery snails compatable? I ask because im thinking of getting a 30 gallon for my black moore that is in with the other goldfish (he is slower and doesn't get nearly as much food as the others) and put some mystery snails in with him. Possibly use it as a mystery snail grow out tank but with a black moore in it. Any concerns come to mind when you read this? Would this work? Permanently/temporary? Thanks :)

ok. thanks :)

I know flaringshutter keeps hers with comets, but its in a huge tank. Antennae look suspiciously like worms to such inquisitive fish. You could try it, but I woulld monitor very very closely.

lol now that you mention the antennae thing that makes sense. well, now i have a better idea! thanks!

Lol msj, when they were all together in the 120 - sure it's a huge tank, but I had over 50 snails in there with the 8 goldies. Big tank, but it sure was crowded! Everyone's happier now that they moved out to their own tank.

Some goldfish are fine with snails, some are not. It's a toss-up, but mine were great friends.

so are you saying that success depends on the type of goldfish, or the personality? Or both?
