I bought a Phosphate Test Kit manufactured by API from Dr.Foster&Smith. I follow the instructions on the box and everything seems fine up until I wait for the results to appear. Ordinarily it says you wait 3 minutes but I usually just go on to do other things and check the results later. Whenever I check up on it, the results give a sort of murky green that doesn't come close to any on the provided chart. It's not clear and sort of cloudy. Is my phosphate test kit defective? Is there something that happens if the results are not read right after 3 minutes? I've tried twice already.
