I mistakingly posted this in Freshwater earlier... :(

My tank has never had a problem before but I am having some serious hair algae problems all of a sudden.

I am currently running a 28 gal with 150W MH. I use only RO water. I only have 1 small dartfish and some inverts. My feeding is very little. Small portions of cyclops and some flake, although I just realized that I started noticing it after I began adding phytoplankton for my clam. Could that cause it?

What about a lack of Calcium? I tested mine and it was down under 300?

I had 3 clams but sold 1 so down to 2 and have never added phyto to my tank and they are doing great, good color and growing well. Low calium is a problem as it should be up around 380-420 for your clam so I would start raising it, I would say about 20 per day until you get to your target of about 400 IMO
