Hey guys, i haven't posted here in a while so I thought i would get some advice, about my 40g.
At the moment I have:
2 yellow labs and a few tetras that are really old. (the yellow labs aren't old lol just the tetra's)

The labs are about 2inches long, it appears that one of them is a male as he has thicker darker banding.

I'm thinking of adding 2 more yellow labs, and having a single species tank, i know 40g is not ideal for mbuna but Ive heard single species should be ok.

I was wondering if i could also add a bristlenose catfish, would this be ok?

The tank is 3ft, with rock cover and an Anubis plant (not sure which species) on a piece of driftwood. Will post pics soon, thanks in advance.

wow i agree that the photos are bad aye but hey at least you posted my friend, well in that size tank i would add 3 more labs as for the bristelnose pleco you should be fine just make sure the fish wont beat it up but we are talking labs here but labs are still mbuna a smaller syno would be better, that first photo looks like a female on top and a male below the female and that second photo looks like s a male lab

Single species of yellow labs will be fine in your tank. Bristlenose pleco's do great with cichlids. Yellow labs are almost impossible to sex without venting them. The black on the fins tend to show dominance more than a reliable way of sexing them.
