I'm still a seriously new newbie.
This tank was set up originally for my nephew, who lives with us: well actually he's not our nephew; we have friends living with us, who were wiped out by Hurricane Ivan.
We have made our home - their home. We think of them as family. Anyway, we all went in together and bought the stuff and set it up for their son.
Thus the bright gravel, and fake coral/sea anemone, and fake hollow tree stump (the fishies love it so I'm not getting rid of that), and the treasure chest with the little scuba diver (hate to admit it but I kinda like the little chest and diver:headshake2: and haven't decided to get rid of that yet)
My nephew, Quinten, lost interest in it and wouldn't help with all the water changes (he's 15 and big enough to help:headshake2: but he moaned and groaned so much every time I asked him to help me and so I just did it myself).
I'm hooked on it and I'm loving it. Moved it out of his room into the living room. (Since I'm the one doing most of the work
: Gwen and Dagon, his stepmom and dad have back injuries and bad health)
The tank had lots of bright:eek3: plastic plants Ive replaced with a few live ones.
I've found out, through help from the really great folks on this forum, that I have a crowded tank and some fishies that need friends, soooooo, I'm going to be looking for a nice 20 gallon.
I think I'll turn the 10 into a planted with a nice Beta I will rescue from a cup
at the lfs, or big chain pet store.
The tanks you guys have are incredible.... I hope these pics aren't too boring.
And, I didn't mean to give my life story.... sorry.... I'm a talker.:headshake2:
Thanks for all the help... you've helped me through several crises!!:thm:
