This is my husbands crayfish and Piggy, a kissing gourami which I adopted along with the 5 gallon tank that he had been living in.

After I put the camera away, the cray reached up his claw (he only has one, the other is a stump) and wrapped it around Piggy's middle. Piggy swam away without seeming to notice. He always seems to be oblivious to the other inhabitants of the tank.

BTW, this is the 3rd P. clarkii crayfish that we've had, and they've never done any damage to any of my fish.

Nice!

are you planning to keep that gourami in that tank for long?

any damage on him from the cray? from my experience, once given more room, a fish will start growing again... how big, no idea but he will most definitly get bigger.

Kissers don't seem that smart. Pinki never paid attention to the other fish either. I had one given to me. He lived in a 29 gallon for 7 years until he ate one too many guppies. I put them in a 75 gallon where he promptly grew another 2" maxing out at 8" and lived for another two years.

I like the last shot. You caught his personality ;)
