I have about 40 juvenile crayfish that need to go to new homes. They are active, healthy and growing fast. They are currently between 1 - 2" depending on the juvenile.

Local pick up (Essex County, NJ) and shipping are available. Shipping is $10/Priority or $30/Express, with Kordon Breather Bags and heat packs to compensate for the cold weather.

Pricing is:

1 crayfish - $5.00
3 crayfish - $10.00
5 crayfish - $20.00

Pictures are of the parents (to show potential adult coloring) and then of the actual juveniles for sale:

Any questions on these crayfish, care for them, if they are compatible with your tank/tankmates, etc. Please don't hesitate to ask. Thanks! ^_~

I have an adult of this species in a 55 would I be able to add another safely? There is qujite a bit of rock work and hiding places within the tank.

Yes, you could. That is more than enough space for two of this species, and with rock work and hiding spots they will likely never bother each other. The only two potential issues I can think of happening are 1.) these are still small crayfish... if you have large fish, shrimp, etc they might get eaten before they reach adulthood. (in which a small temporary tank for a few weeks would allow them to grow out a bit to a safer size) 2.) Same-sex aggression, if you know the sex of your crayfish I can send you the opposite. However, in a tank that size, same-sex aggression is really going to be limited and most likely non-existent. It would also prevent unwanted breeding if you didn't want babies.

Can these be housed in a 10 g? Would you be able to have more than 1 in there if provided sufficient hiding spaces?

A 10 gal is really ideal for just one. However, one pair (one male, one female) could be housed successfully with enough hiding spots. The issue really becomes that these crayfish reach 5-7in as adults (gender, breeding, care, etc determine ultimate size) and 2 animals that size in a 10 gal doesn't give them a lot of space. Having a pair cuts down on same sex aggression so there's no territory fights, but again, it's a matter of space. Having more than one in a 10 gal isn't really fair to them, if you want to house multiples I suggest using a 20 or 30 gal.
