HELP i have a sick? fish

:help:very wierd only 2 fish in tank and only this 1 has it, it was fine earlier today:help: . its not ich (been there done that many times), :cry: looks like lint lol.:huh: its white and sticks out ,its face is covered and everywhere.:help:

It looks just like ich to me, what makes you think it is not ich? Also, water params, what is the tank mate, gallons, etc

ive had fish years and ich many times its stringy long and looks bumpy fluffy its a 40 gl with the johanni 3 inch and a 3 inch bumblebee

also it was spotless about 1 hour before

Doesn't look anything like fungus. My first thought was also ich. It could be some weird bacterial condition I suppose.

ich normally looks like the fish was sprinkled with salt.

I've seen this in my marine tanks if a fish rolled in sand too.. but if you don't have sand I would suspect ich.

Looks like ich to me. I've never seen stringy or fluffy ich before...that sounds more like columnaris to me.

I couldn't figure out whether "its stringy long and looks bumpy fluffy" referred to ich or his fish. Ich certainly isn't stringy.

the stuff on the fish was long and fluffy stringy like stuck out off the fish like the length of a well sharpened pencil tip but not pointed, wasnt like any ich ive ever seen loked just like little pieces of lint.
today it is almost gone very wierd

I would really invest the money to get a good liquid test kit and test your water parameters, since you have stated previously you've never tested your water before. That fish looks in pretty bad shape, I have never heard of something like this appearing as you said --- that it "was spotless one hour before" the photo was taken, looked like that, and then less than twelve hours later it is "almost gone". Sorry, I just have a lot of trouble believing that, I have never heard of or seen a fish look absolutely fine, then look like it has a terrible, far-gone case of ich, and then look all better, all within a 24 hour period.

i noticed a castle tower had fallen over and she went in it i took it out last night the inside looked white not finished i think the stuff its made of was coming off, i think she got the stuff from it inside on her because its gone now and she looks fine.
