I have a 55 gallon glass aquarium that I've been working on for a few months and would like to know if I can still add anything to it. I am running a penguin 350 with extra filters, a 60 gallon capable air pump and 6 inch ceramic stone hooked up to it, a heater that is keeping the water at 75-76 and have a pair of florescent lights that I run about 10 hours a day.

Water chemistry is doing great, my bacteria culture is completely fine and my nitrate levels are at trace amounts. Ph is around 7

The tank is decorated with quite a few plastic plants and other natural wood formations for cover etc.

I currently have the following:

14 Neon Tetra
7 Glowlight Tetra
7 Green Cory
5 Black Skirt Tetra
3 White Skirt Tetra
2 Dwarf African Frogs
2 Filter (bamboo) Shrimp
1 Rubber Lip Plecostomus

Can I still add anything to my tank? I was considering some more algae eaters or bumblebee catfish and wanted to make sure before I over-packed my tank.

You have a pretty good amount of room. I'd recommend adding a centerpiece fish or two. Something a little bigger to make for interesting display.

I was thinking maybe a female betta. Not too big, but adds some color. If I could find a larger community fish I would definitely put a pair in there as well. I've had aweful luck with gourami, all kinds of varieties including dwarf simply won't stay alive for me (I know, its odd) not to mention the dwarf ones I have had I ended up giving to a friend because they were trying to eat my frogs and neons.
