Nice tank..
You may want to try and see if you like the look of a black background. Get some more plants going - you and the fish will like that! :)

One of the main reasons I don't have more plants is the large yellow object on the lower left side of the wood. That is El Destructo Magnifico, my golden inca snail. We've learned that if we keep him drunk on cucumber he'll largely leave the plants alone.
good luck
:)

Nice tank looks nice, i like that black sand.

is that black onyx sand?

if it is, how do you like it, i have been pondering whether to switch my ugly gravel to black onyx sand.

Fantastic use of words, I loved that phrase "drunk on cucumber"! Very nice pictures, gorgeous angels!!!

That's Tihitian moon sand, I like it a lot but it does show debris easily.
good luck

oh ok thats the very fine stuff right?
yea i know the black does show all the debris easily, but it is a good color.

It's actually much coarser than regular sand, but it's lighter too. I washed all the finest particles out and it behaves itself quite nicely.
good luck

Very nice tank. I second the suggestion of adding a black background, they bring out the color of everything in your tank. Nice looking angels.:)

i have a jet black background on my 129 african tank, it really does bring out all the colors.

i have a mix of plant sand, black beauty sand, and crushed coral, giving it sort of a salt and pepper look. it looks very nice, and you cant see any debris at all.
