Where did you get the hasbrosus?
I bought them at a local fish shop
some of the smaller stones you can move in a different spot in the tank since if the foreground plants fill in (and they will) you will barely see the smaller ones..
Everything looks GREAT so far. I see you got the pipes bent, nice nice.
That wood looks familiar.. whered you get it??
Place a few more pieces in there, make some go higher than the ones already in there

I would put the larger piece on the left on the bottom and all the small pieces sticking out above it. IMO it would look even more natural. It looks awesome by the way.

Great start! I'm definitely looking forward to seeing it progress. :)
I with Spunjin, the piece on the left (the fat one) seems out of place. And the one on the right which goes straight up like a rocket needs to be tilted a bit.

This tank looks like it will be top notch with the materials you are using. Cant wait to see it up and running with plants and fish.
Some thoughts:
I think the rocks are in too straight of a line and I would go with the wood sticking up or all facing down so it looks more natural.
Although I love this one:

And this one:

A tank is really a snapshot of small underwater area and usually things blend together due to the flow of water and similar materials being introduced. I feel i am to methodical in my arrangements so they look MAN MADE. I cant wait to see what you do with this. Hopefully it turns out the way YOU will enjoy it.

I like the rock placement but the driftwood looks too symmetrical and divided on teh the centerlines of the tank for me.

Boil the wood in a large pot to speed up the saturation process. Zip ties work wonders when placing the wood so it doesnt squirrel around on you when planting and cleaning the tank.
Great start.

I know lol but i was trying to hold down the way i wanted it with rocks but that didn't work.So now there stacked into a pile with rocks on top.i'll still be able to scape the forground if i can find some dang Dwarf hairgrass
Edit:Boiling did nothing for me.I tried for quite awhile and nothing

LOL i got the tank set up tonight and when i turned the lights out i was watching it for a second and saw something moving!I thought i saw a shrimp and a amano shrimp at that.I began wondering how it would have got there.I thought at first it came in the plants i bought or it was a ghost of an old amano i had lol.i finally concluded that he was on the lava rock i put temperarily in the tank.

place them in a rubber maid tub with hot water and leave them there for 4-5 days.. Every so often replace the water.
For hairgrass pm mgamer.. last i spoke to him he had 1-3 pots available

I got the tank all planted tonight. That driftwood sure was a pain to sink though.I also got some more angels since the ones i bought previously have all passed for some strange reason.I went to the LFS today and saw the same little angels i bought earlier but they were under quarantine now.So i figure they had something but none of my other fish seem affected. So once he told me they were under quarantine i decided on some larger angels for 13.00 each but wait he said "we have some others like that for about the same price".So i took a look and they were wild angel.... ALTUMS!Woot so i got three of these at 16.00 a pop though they were labeled as wild scalare.

Hmm the wild scalares and altums are so similar that i can't really tell now. What are some good differences between them.At the fish shop they said they were wild scalares but i have my doubts.Though if they are truley scalares i don't care they are really nice

Ok i finally got some more pics to show.I completely changed the hard scape.I'm going for an amazon look.Let me know what you think.Oh and the cave decor and lava rock you see in there are only for weighing down the rooting plants and driftwood. The water is pretty murky too from all the planting and cycling. It looks way better in person too

I really like it except for those lighter colored rocks on the front right. I feel the hardscape really comes together if all the rocks you use are the same kind. Those lighter colored ones look kind of out of place.

Looks like a great start, but I have to agree with sploke. That bunch of light colored rocks is the first thing my eye gets drawn to, but not in a harmonious way. Otherwise, it's looking excellent though. Can't wait to see it a bit grown in!

I'm pretty sure that lighter rock and lava rock are weighing down the plants and wood temporarily. The good thing about using lava rock is that you can attach moss to it rather quickly and place it between the rock that you want to show off. That way you aren't covering the rock you paid so much for and it ties the whole scape together.
