Sand Sifting Crabs

Does anyone know anything about these. I know they are sometimes called sand fleas. Are they harmful to any animals? I know they turn over the sand bed but what are the postive and negative features of these?

The creatures that I know of as being commonly called sand fleas are an Isopod species, not something I would want in my tank and I don't believe they would survive long term in an aquarium anyways.

The OP may be referring to "mole crabs" which are also called sand fleas and are a hippid crab (anomuran). Regardless, I don't believe they would do well in aquaria, either.
