I got this off of ebay. It has a small leak in the top where the siphon starter pump is located. It is that shaft that goes into the top. Tried moving it many different directions and nothing, still leaked. Going to take home tonight and disassemble and see if I can see what is wrong? Yep, work tank, not the best place for a leak to develop.

I am very mechanicaly inclined and do not anticipate any assembly/disassembly problems, just wondered if anyone has experienced this before and what they did to fix the problem.

TIA...

I saw some buildup in and around the seal for the siphon pump. So, I cleaned it all out put a coating of vasaline in place and I will hope for the best. If that does not work, I plan on elevating the filter a bit to reduce the pressure on the seals. Not sure if that would have any effect due to the pressure from the pump itself, but, I have no other great ideas.

And I have not learned how to post pics on this site yet...

Made it worse! I will either take it all apart and seal it all up with good silicone or get a new piece from the manufaturer. They happen to be in Poland?
