Just read this article..

A octopus has caused havoc in his aquarium by performing juggling tricks using his fellow occupants, smashing rocks against the glass and turning off the power by shortcircuiting a lamp.

What a character!

sounds like the place should take a hint and put some less-bright lights over the octo tank like they prefer....

Sounds lovely. There was an LFS here that had and octopus for a while. It was very cool to go in and look at the guy (or gal). I'm told they are one of the most difficult critters to keep.

i read an article once about an octopus that was being kept in a lab (among other aquatic things) and one of the proffessors that ran things noticed that he was missing a lot of crabs in his other tank. Well, he checked security tapes and apparently his octopus had been getting out of its tank, crawling across 3 feet of open shelf space, getting into the crab tank, eating his fill, then going all the way back to his own tank after closing the lids behind him. very intelligent creatures

Awesome! They're such smart critters, it's a wonder Hollywood hasn't caught on. We should write a kid's movie about an octo, sell it to a studio, and help Neo fund AC. :)
