I'm interested in starting an invert tank but with these Halocaridina rubra shrimps, from an ecosphere, also sea horse food. They can live in both fresh water and salt water but the best conditions for them are brackish water. I'm new to the fish hobby and I have no experience with anything besides having 2 betta fish for a few months. I have no experience with salt water tanks or brackish water tanks. I do understand that I need a specific gravity of water for these inverts and I will need to add sea salt.

How do I go about making a brackish tank?
What is water gravity?
What equipment would I need besides tank/thermometer/heater/filter/substrate/lava rock?
How do I make brackish water? declorinate water then mix sea salt?
How do I feed them algae/bacteria through the water or farm food for them?
If I have established media from a cycled tank(freshwater) will it survive if added to the brackish water set up to cycle it?
What plants can survive in brackish water (low light if possible)?
And how many watts per gallon is considered low watt?
Any other suggetions or advice?

Sorry for all the questions and thanks for reading/any replies/any suggestions.

Ask Southerndesert: He's bred them before, he should have info on them:
