By request here are the photos of the new 75g tank. Keep in mind it is pretty bare. I have plants in there that I am hoping will grow out fairly quick. This tank is going to be used primarily for the breeding of the angels. But I noticed this morning that the cories in there are beginning to lay eggs already! I set this tank up and added the fish on 10/30/08. I also added Bio-Spira at the same time.

nice shots, but... you angels look gold on the top in the pics. i thought i had two silvers in my tank, but turns out they are something called naja golds. one is about 4-5 months and the other one is about a year and a half old. but started turning yellow about 2 months ago. when the big one gets stressed out when i vacuum, she runs away and all of her silver pigment disapears and turns completely gold. after a few hrs she turn back into a "silver". its the weirdest thing ever. just somthing to look into

Those Angels have naja genes in them but if I would have posted them as najas the price would have doubled. We started with 100% wild Peruvian silvers and crossed to black and so on it took 3 years to get these guys the way we wanted them . Five different crosses in all .

Great looking tank Country and good luck with the Cory's and your Angel fry. Next time you get eggs pull them and hatch out in tap water if you are on a well add two drops of bleach per gallon this will dissipate before eggs hatch. Be sure to remove all unfertilized eggs so they do not infect the fertile ones . Don't forget the Maroxy.

Call me and I will walk you through it . We currently have around 7000 fry in our grow out tanks.

I forgot to add that the TAS is a great place for Angelfish info: it is worth a whole lot more than $5 per year . I would highly recommend you join, it will save you a whole lot of trial and error.

I will let you know the next time they have eggs. I think I am a little more prepared this time as I have more time on my hands now. My summer job has finally closed up. No more working 13 hour days and coming home to sleep and then get up and work. Which means I can actually sit down and have time for my tanks and also spend time with my soon to be 11 month old daughter. The 55g is in major need of a big trimming and a major cleaning. It has a bad case of brown algae.

I hope to one day set up an aquarium for her. I think she will like Angels as she sits in front of the 75g and stare at them instead of watching the tv which is 2 feet to the right of the tank! I lost a few when the Angels had their first batch of fry. Another reason for getting a bigger tank!

Forgot to mention that I started out with 3 peppered cory about a yr ago and these are what I have now from them. They lay eggs about once a month. I have sold many of them to friends and other ppl!
