I just found this stuck onto my Brazilian Penny wort today, not sure how it got up to the plant but it was there. What type of snail in this and will it be a problem with my plants?
the face almost looks like baby apple snail, and if it were an apple snail then the speckles would be normal for a baby (meaning it would be striped when it matured some), but when you look at the right side it almost looks like a hard edged curve, like a ramshorn...i do now know..
how big is the leaf that it is on?
and i would wait for msjinkzd or vampie to give an id before going with it
And a great shot of one! I call those leopard rams. I find common snails to be a good gauge of maintenance/feeding as they only really readily reproduce with an ample food source. This can be uneaten food, decaying plant matter, and algae.
